Dr. Reuben Ng is a behavioural and data scientist, academic, and public policy expert recognized internationally for his work in ageing, population health, risk perception, and evidence-based policymaking. He serves as an Assistant Professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, where his research and teaching focus on the intersection of data science, behavioural insights, and public policy innovation.
Dr. Ng holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology and Public Health from Yale University as a Fulbright Scholar. He also earned a Master of Science in Management Research with Distinction from the University of Oxford, receiving the Dan Gowler Prize. Earlier, he completed his Master’s degree at Nanyang Technological University and his undergraduate honors degree at the National University of Singapore. His multidisciplinary academic training integrates psychology, epidemiology, management research, and analytics.
With more than two decades of cross-sector experience, Dr. Ng has held leadership roles across government, consulting, and academia. He previously served in Singapore’s Prime Minister’s Office, contributing to national data and Smart Nation initiatives, and helped build advanced analytics capabilities within the consulting sector. His work consistently emphasizes rigorous methodology, scalable analytics, and policy relevance.
